Phoenix™ Mounting Channel Kit - Recessed Installation

Introduction:

Flexfire Channel Kits are designed with you in mind to ensure that your strip light lives a long, healthy life. By acting as a heat sink and providing a barrier from dust and debris, aluminum channels can extend the life of your strip light while also making maintenance simple. The channels are sold in one meter pieces and can be mounted on practically any flat surface to give your project the finished look it deserves.

The Phoenix is perfect for mud-in applications where lights are to be recessed into the wall with no parts of the channel visible. This channel is made from aluminum and creates a beam angle of 110 degrees. It is compatible with all of our strips and all of our strip connectors making it one of our most versatile channels yet, even fitting up to two pieces of strip light depending on the desired appearance!

Available in two different diffusion levels (Frosted, and Matte), this channel allows users to maintain a low profile while providing protection to your lights. Covers are made of polycarbonate and are UV resistant. End caps and connectors are included with this product for ease of installation and additional ones can also be purchased separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What’s the warranty on this channel?

We offer a six-year warranty on all our channels (this does not apply to KLUS channels).

Q. Will I see spots if I use a cover with this channel?

It depends on what LED strip light you're using. Brightness and a large amount of chips per foot are the two main factors that contribute to a seamless line of light. You can get more information by taking a look at our Diffusion Chart, but in most cases, the Matte Cover eliminates dark spots and creates a continuous line of light.

Q. If connectors do not fit inside the channel, what options do I have?

You can solder the leads on the LED strip light.

Q. What kind of wire should I use for my strip light with this channel?

Since this channel is meant for in-wall installations we recommend using in-wall rated wire. One style of wire that will work for in-wall, riser, and plenum spaces would be our CMP wire which can easily be connected to our C1 Grip Solderless connectors.
