No, the Verity SOB Diffused Strip is an SOB strip. COB strips have LED chips mounted directly on the PCB and covered with yellow phosphor-infused silicone. This creates a yellow finish and produces a yellow halo effect when turned on—even visible on aluminum channels when the lights are off.
The Verity SOB strip is different. The phosphor is incorporated into each individual SMD package, allowing the outer silicone jacket to remain white. You get smooth, even lighting without the yellow discoloration. It's better technology, better appearance, and better performance.
